I must say that I've enjoyed the previous EA game betas such as Battlefield 1 and both Star Wars Battlefronts. This time around I got what I expected and some more.
First of all, I can definitely say that I liked the WWII milieu of the game even though it is a bit revisionist and full of anachronisms. Both maps, Rotterdam and Narvik, provided a neat sample of different lighting and environmental effects.
However when it comes to the gameplay, one can expect a bunch of bugs and quips in every beta. Sometimes my passing was obstructed by an invisible texture. At times the sound environment turned out to be inconsistent.
Unfortunately the class loadouts are a mess. Every class can build and revive in certain circumstances. Both the medic and support classes can provide additional ammo and support packs. I thought it was frustrating that the support class weaponry made of LMGs lacked high capacity magazines. So no cover fire. Weapons so far seem to be more one and the same when it comes to effectiveness.
As far as the vehicles and tanks are concerned, I feel that the tank was pretty useless and couldn't even ram through a wooden house.
Overall the beta matches feel very low tempo which is something that might turn out to be a let down considering all the available shooters this quarter. EA has indeed handled this release awfully. Pandering to SJWesque critique is not helping the game at all with their target audience.

Currently on my channel: 龍が如く6 Inochi no Uta / Yakuza 6 playthrough
Yes, I am playing the Japanese retail version on my channel. I'll leave a link to the videos here.
This first video consists of some trial version gameplay. At this point, I'm already some 40 minutes into the story, which mostly a recap of events of Yakuza 5; Kiryuu getting injured and jailed while Haruka quits the idol industry and returns to the Okinawa orphanage.
This second video of the series starts off where the trial version ended. Kiryuu Kazuma is now in Kamurocho looking clues for the whereabouts of both Akiyama and Haruka.
Taking some time getting to know next gen Kamurocho while looking for clues. Things have changed.
There happens to be a scuffle between Chinese mafia and Tojo Clan. Obviously Kiryuu is pulled in the middle of this conflict.
Kiryuu saves a man from the Chinese gangsters and in turn gets a lead of Akiyama's whereabouts.
I had an unfortunate thing happen to me and my PS4 happened to uninstall the whole 36 gb file. No worries however, I continue this series shortly but so far these 5 videos will do.

While You Were Gaming - Aug Sept time frame
As one would expect many things are occuring even as I write this. There are bloody wars being waged in Syria and Yemen, a slower fight going on in Ukraine and all out financial warfare against the middle-class in developed countries.
Ok, there's a slump in almost every European country, United States and Japan apart from a tiny separated parts of financial bubbles surrounding housing prices, IT-business and banking. Guess some of you might've felt the effects of those: debt, no or less jobs etc. Debt of countries is spiraling out of control as well, therefore it can be called a real time bomb with the demographic cliff majority of European countries such as the Euro locomotive Germany and industrious Japan are experiencing already.
At the age of heightening gaps between the obscenely well-off, affluent power brokers and the rest of us, more and more people are pushed to their limits and are pitted against one another. Lines are drawn between ethnicity, religion, political affiliation, social class, you name it. In Europe, we have heightened tensions between locals and migrants who have arrived recently from war-ridden Middle-East and poor parts of sub-Saharan Africa. Then there's political animosity between populists and the establishment groups, left and right wing groups. In US, the conflict is magnified by US presidential candidates: GOP's Trump and DNC's Hillary Clinton. The wedge between this duopoly is deep and being accentuated as more people vent their spleen on current events, narratives, beliefs and social strife. Only 9% of the voting aged population were heard during "the selection" of well-off candidates of the both aisles. Many were cast aside in the rigged election. More people are even more upset because all of this was public and so in your face.
US factions are supporting once again the overthrow of Assad regime with the help of none other than al-Qaeda and pals. Earlier US military refuse to become al-Qaeda's air force therefore leading to covert CIA assistance to the rebel jihadis.
Failed presumed CIA-Gülenite Turkey coup threw a monkey wrench to the globalist plan on Syria. Rapprochement toward Russia, after downing one their jets in Syria, has already been layed out as US gov't is stalling Fetullah Gülen extradition.
Many things are unraveling. The quickening is upon us.

Yup, New Age of gaming dawns - Shift in Consciousness
Who would've thought? I, for that matter, had no clue until recently. The Lord works in mysterious ways. We had fun, at least some.
What about you, what are your aspirations for the new age that dawns? What will it bring apart from peace, love, unity and spirituality. The end of duality, they claim is soon to happen. I guess it is true, the aliens, their loving help and enigmatic apparition, like a mirage. We are not alone.
When I think about it, gaming is probably not the first thing that will occupy my attention when the Event comes to fruition. The experience of reality is plainly too much to be ignored. Gaming will preserve a special place in my memory, until the time comes for this past to re-emerge from the slumber our evolving ways thwart it in. This will happen eventually and retro games are cool.
The RPG of life with all the new-found knowledge, strange new fellows and worlds awaits us. Let us join to the galactic scifi adventure of all lifetime (life extension tech will multiply this significantly).

State of the industry: Reality meets imagination - Promise of next-gen
Been a long time since I wrote something on this blog. I admit I've been busy with my Finnish socio-economic blog writing much more than I should've. Nonetheless, I should post here and then videos on Youtube while I still can with all the regulations and international law / free trade deals currently in progress undermining all the avant-garde work of bloggers and citizen journalists world wide. If you have no idea what I'm referring to, two words: TPP and TTIP. First one Trans-Pacific Partnership, a free trade agreement on many things wonderous, intellectual property right aka copy right for instance. The latter same kind of treaty between US and EU. Bunch of corporate BS. Find out about it. You're not going to like it.
Next-gen go gaga
Well, not really. Maybe an euphemism. There's a rocky road ahead. I want to address some of the troubling news that lie ahead notwithstanding you care or not. Willingness to buy in to the next-gen tech of video game consoles is of course a hot topic with the raging war between Xboners and PS4evers as seen in South Park episode Black Friday. Anyhow, first thing first, the price will be an issue for many since the economy is down the gutter. Second of all, the pre-holiday season release to push half-baked technical solutions will result in hardware malfunction and glitches, much like seen with the overwhelming episode over GTAV online hardships. Never again. Given the context of things, those are some the everyday things people should find out whether they decide to commit to a certain platform. Yet again we'll have to wait and see about the launch titles as well, some of which have already been postponed, thank God, to avoid premature exposure. For the better, I'm sure.
War of the worlds
The series of issues I'm going to address are not found within the usual parameters of next-gen debate: namely privacy, connectivity, health issues and copy right. These arguments go both sides. First, I start with the least important or the most known adverse effect of gaming: loss of health.
Health issues are grave. As more and more people are prone to work, live and stay indoors, they lead a sedentary lifestyle and that combined with poor nutrition will result in devastating health problems. 1+2=disaster. In US, the public health renovation under Obamacare will also undermine the well-being of gamers, children mostly.
Then there's the alarmingly growing EMF exposure for everyone close the electrical appliances, the console, router, wi-fi etc. This factor will grow exponentially in cities where people bathe in EMF pollution. Studies point to negative health effects. Duh.
Third alarming point I want to raise is mental health aberrations due to sum unbeknownst factors (lifestyle, food, water, drugs, narcotics, disease, TV flicker rate, EMF, graphic content etc.). No big deal, it's called a life, but still can't help wondering about brainwaves, propaganda, conditioning and manipulation. Be warned though.
On the bright side, all of these can be defeated with proper lifestyle choices. Now that health is dealt with, let's continue to analyse privacy and connectivity. These too are important for the well-being of an individual. You've probably heard by now about the global scale mass surveillance and control grid that's out of East German style dystopian sci-fi flick. Nonetheless, we have it. We didn't know for sure that it existed. Movie references of surveillance tech were, we thought, most likely some film writer's fantasy. However, things are even worse in reality. No, we don't have GIs fighting Cobras in a worldwide scale, that's a fantasy. Instead we have enormous global corporate government that spies people that might some day become a threat to their existence. So gov't hand in hand with corporate interests, because the corps pay more than us, have decided to rape us over privacy and control us and make us pay for it. Long story short, my BIG issue lies with big corporations such as Microsoft that spies, collects information and shares it with their surveillance agency masters: buying a Xbox will surely contribute to their crime and gives them direct access to your living room with Kinect there watching you constantly, waiting you to make your move, say something that later might and will be used against you. They got you by the balls and so you buy in and play ball and contribute once again to the tyrants.

Now that I've got that off my chest, be sure look for yourself information about Kinect's spy capability. Plus the radiation. I guess the corporations would lie to us, again. The gov't can force a back door to any system, and probably already has, and gag companies.
Third major side note of this post refers to free trade agreements (TPP and TTIP) that will destroy the internet as we know it, will put ordinary folks in jail for copy right infringement and on top of that will destroy the remains of democracy (not that that hasn't already happened in many places, but still big RAPE).
